What is the Football INDEX Match Day Performance Buzz?

Performance Buzz Match Day Rankings tracks the performance of each player across a number of actions and events in each game. This is then calculated into points based on the criteria set out by Football Index to deliver an overall total score.

We provide Performance scores on every player with vital information on upcoming fixtures along with historical stats and data. Use our custom built planner to help decide which players are in-form and worth considering with detailed information on upcoming fixtures, injury status and player suspensions.

Performance Buzz is open to all players from every team in the top 5 European Leagues along with the Europa and Champions League competitions. The benchmarks for dividend pay-out varies dependent upon the number of fixtures played on that day. With the added level of competition on busier match days, dividends are much higher.

Additionally, futures owned for the first 30 days are also eligible for Goals, Assist and Clean Sheet bonus dividends. After 30 days have expired, futures can be sold and re-purchased to become eligible once again. The Goals, Assist and Clean Sheet bonus is eligible in all current Match Day Ranking leagues along with the UEFA Nations League.

Below is a breakdown of the criteria and dividend payout levels for each type of Performance Buzz Match Day Rankings on Football INDEX.

Below is a breakdown of how Performance Buzz scores are calculated using the stats and information from Opta.

General Rules and Information on Football INDEX Performance Buzz:

When scores are tied, players are separated by age, with the youngest player awarded the win, So for example, if Neymar and Mohamed Salah ended the day tied on 200 points and they were the overall highest scoring players, Mohamed Salah would be given the win and dividends due to being younger than Neymar by a few months.

Performance Buzz is open to every single player listed on Football INDEX playing in eligible game days in the Top 5 European Leagues along with Champions League and Europa League.

Players can be purchased up until 14:00pm on the day of games being played to be eligible to win dividends on that day. This includes players who have already played in an early kick off.

The bonus points awarded for 'Game Winning Goal' work on the following system: If a match finishes 4-0, then the player who scored the first goal is deemed to have scored the Game Winning Goal. If the game finished 4-1, then the player who scored the second goal for the winning team receives the bonus, and so on. If the first goal is an Own Goal, or indeed the Game Winning Goal, things get a little more complicated. If the winning team scores a further goal, then this player is given the bonus. If an Own Goal is the final goal to win the match, then no Game Winning Goal bonus is awarded. In this scenario if a team wins 2-0, but the opening goal is an Own Goal, then the player scoring the second gets the bonus. If the game finishes 2-1 and the second winning goal is an Own Goal, then no bonus will be given.

For Goals, Assists and Clean Sheet bonus dividends, futures are only eligible for the first 30 days of ownership. Any further futures purchased remain active on a rolling 30 day basis. Futures can also be sold and re-purchased to become active once again. Goalkeepers must start the game and play the full 90 minutes and, if required extra time in order to claim a Clean Sheet bonus. Penalty shoot-outs are not included.
