Hello again! Unfortunately this blog contains some good news and bad news - the good news is I’m moving house in June! It’s a fantastic place so I’m very excited about it (though I will miss our house cat) - the bad news is with how pushy estate agents are, we’ve had to pay our deposit upfront and asap on top of the rent I’m paying for my current place- this means that for now I’ve had to do a big withdrawal to help cover the costs of everything.
Over the next few weeks I’ll be looking to redeposit as everything settles, so the main gutting thing about this is the commission I’ve had to pay and the fact that I’ll miss out on the 10% bonus!
SALAH x 50
RICHARLISON x 150
LUKE SHAW x 90
LUCAS MOURA x 60
RUBEN LOFUTS CHEEK x60
NABY KEITA x 90
NEYMAR x 40
There’s not too much analysis I can do about why I sold these players as they’re sells I’ve done before I wanted to exit the trade. With Neymar I’m satisfied at not picking him back up as his price is extremely high and whilst I do think he’ll return a lot of dividends over the summer with 5 media places, I won’t invest enough to truly benefit from those dividends.
My other premium sale was Salah, who actually won PB on the day I sold him! There have been a few grumblings about Salah potentially leaving Liverpool but for the most part, whilst the end of the season will see Salah rake in a few more dividends (especially if they pull out a win in Barcelona), he’s another player I could see myself without over the summer.
Thankfully I was on a profit for almost every player I’ve sold, only making a loss on Moura and Shaw, which were both small enough to be cancelled out by the profits from the other players.
HARRY KANE x 10
ERIKSEN x 10
I had a bit of money left around in my account so I’ve purchased Kane as I like to buy players when they’re injured in anticipation of them coming back - Kane is a big name so his return to the game will receive some coverage. The question is whether he’ll potentially make the Champions League final (lots of variables, very doubtful), If he’ll make it back for the Nations League (lots of coverage beforehand as he’s one of England’s top men, could happen), or if the injury is so bad he misses them both, making him a good preseason buy as people will buy in anticipation of his return to the Premier League. Kane has a knack of returning early from injury (for better or worse), so it’s hard to predict.
Eriksen still has Real rumours swirling around him, and with positions 3-6 in the Premier League all determined to bottle their chances of Champions League football next year with poor results, Tottenham could conceivably still end up in the Europa League spots, making an Eriksen move more likely.
That’s all for this week, I’m looking forward to taking advantage of the 5% FI bonus at least! With a few of my PB centric options leaving my portfolio (Keita, Shaw, Moura, Salah), my aims on redepositing will be to invest in those who have stable transfer links, then move into reinvesting into PB players again when everyone else sells them.
